1930 Jul Cover sent from Tientsin to Germany via Siberia, franked on reverse with Junk stamps of total 15c for paying international postage, stamps with brush marking, alongside with "TIENTSIN/Free mailing during the idle period" postal marking. Mail sent abroad with this marking are very Scarce.In late July 1937, employees of Peiping/Tiantsin Post requested a salary increase and subsidy due to rising prices and low monthly wages. They submitted several unsuccessful petitions to the General Post Office and announced their intention to slack off.
